This is an old painting from the end of last spring I decided to pick up and somewhat finish. It was for a create your own silent hill monster thing my friends from school and I decided to do! For those who don't know, monsters from that game series usually depict tortured forms of humans...

No Idea how long it took. I didn't time myself back then.

I noticed sticking a giant WIP on my works in progress isn't that awesome. This is one. Oh, also, this is a kind of muscle study. I am using a photo as reference for the man from this Deviant Art artist whose username is Vishstudio (he has lots of awesome male photos) but the rest is from my imagination. yeh.

Sad how losing seconds of electricity completely shuts down your computer. I didn't save the laces yet and I don't feel like re-doing them now... tomorrow it will take me half the time! Thats the beauty of learning, and taking the habit of saving more often.

So the shiny brushes disracted me and I decided to make thunder stuff. Kinda failed. I'll try thunder another day!

I noticed I have a lot of awesome brushes but I don't know what they do yet... In order to learn I played around with them and in the end, did a small brush feel doodle thing. I'll do a couple more here and there to know when and how to use them. It will help me put the final touches on the girl painting I'll be finishing soon!

I wont put the time since it was mainly going in circles, trying out brushes. I only ended up using two or three ones...

A female northern hunter. I am going to focus on characters now since I noticed I had been neglecting them. Also, I always naturally end up drawing on the right side... next time on the left and a man!

I also used oil painting brushes for this one. It was fun I I'll keep using them for a while in order to get used to it!

I realised today I had to switch my signature to 2012 instead of 2011 today. OOPS.

For this I used reference and I'm going to keep doing that for a while. It's very helpful!
